If The Simpsons were to end its run on FOX after the 25th season and no other network (i.e. CBS, Comedy Central) picked up the animated series, one possible avenue for Homer and Co. to continue churning out new episodes is through streaming, such as on Netflix. Arrested Development and other shows are taking this route. Unfortunately, by the time The Simpsons gets to Netflix, the video retailer may discontinue its one-month free trial and/or raise its monthly fees. There are definitely hundreds of new storylines for The Simpsons that are waiting to be aired; it's even possible that episodes that would normally be aired next century will have to be shown to us while we are still alive, since The Simpsons is the one television show that will likely outlive all of us. Would you be willing to shill out hard-earned bucks to watch The Simpsons on Netflix?
