So only some of the older fans will be able to answer this but... In an old treehouse of horror there is some kind of rip in time in the closet and bart and homer enter a 3d world.... homer ends up in the "real world" and the episode ends with "to be continued" BUT after a few years they got rid of the to be continued part. Does anyone know why they got rid of it? They left it on for like 3 or 4 years and now it's gone (I think it aired around 96 or 97). Thanks

The episode you`re talking about is Homer3 from Treehouse of Horror VI, but I`m not sure about the to be continued business. Hadn`t heard it before myself.

Yeah. I don't remember the to be continued part. I've never heard about that either. It might be on the dvd but since I don't have it, I can't say for sure if it is or not.

Yeah they got rid of the to be continued after only 2 or 3 years so by 97 or 98 it was already gone. I remember because it really shocked me that they would put that. I was about 8 when it showed in 95. I can't believe no one else remembers though.

Sorry, but I don't recall seeing the words "To be continued..." anywhere on that episode.

I think I remember seeing the "To Be Continued" part, because I seem to recall waiting for an upcoming episode to show Homer in the real world again. Unfortunately, we never got it and the "To Be Continued" was removed. I wonder if it actually was considered at the time, maybe as the plot for the next THoH?
