Because I really don't know what it is anymore.  Clearly, Family Guy and South Park go after the young male demographic, but what does the Simpsons attract?  It jumps between borderline offensive humor, goof humor w/childish gags, sophmoric humor devoid of any wit, or gross out gags.  So what crowd does the Simpsons attract?

True, i've followed the Simpson's since it's start in 1989 and i'm now 38, my nephew wwho's 12 has been watching it for the last 4 or 5 years, hey even my old dad has watched an episode every now and then and he's 68.

I think the Simspons generates a cross spectrum of age.

I've been watching it longer than I can remember so anyone who is allowed to can watch the show even though the rating is TV-PG.
