Chalkboard Gag: I will not concede the election till Karl Rove gives me permission.
Couch Gag: This sequence parodies the hilarious funny 1968 cartoon series The Wacky Races. Here it's called The Sofa Speedsters, featuring the Simpsons driving in their couch, Brown Lightning, Chief Wiggum and family in the Piggily Wiggum, Bumblebee Man in the Bumble Buggy, Mr. Burns and Smithers in the Greed Hornet (resembling Dick Dastardly's Mean Machine), Dr. Hibbert in Dr. Groom, Groundskeeper Willie in Glasgow-a-Go-Go, Cletus Spuckler and family in Hick Dastardly, and Professor Frink in the Franken-Continental. The racers crash into a huge pile just short of the finish line in the street, which enables Grampa Simpson, the last entry to slowly emerge as the victor in his racing recliner, laughing all the way boasting "Beat ya!" Afterward, Homer yells "D'oh!" in frustration.
