Homer joins the "Springfield Preppers," an off-the-grid survivalist group whose leader has set up a top-secret retreat outside of town to prepare for the end of the world. But Marge grows skeptical of the group's alarmist shenanigans.

After a traumatic event at a children's funplex Homer decides to join a group of nutty survivalists much to Marge's dismay.

Again we see an episode where Homer has a brilliant idea to which Marge disapproves. By the end of the episode Homer sees Marge was right all along and things are back to normal. However this episode worked for me because it's loaded with laughs. The sequence where Homer and family makes their escape from the compound was hysterical from start to finish. I haven't laughed so hard at an episode of "The Simpsons" in quite a long time. It felt nice to laugh that hard again (Man, that AK-47 has a lot of bullets!). Definitely make some time to see this great episode because you never know how much time we have left!moreless
