Episode Recap

Marge and Homer attend Parent-Teacher night at Bart and Lisa's school. While Homer continues to be complimented on his parenting skills towards Lisa, Ms. Krabappel tells Marge that she needs to discipline Bart more or he may end up as a sleazy strip dancer. Ms. Krabappel tells Marge that if she starts to be more firm towards Bart, he may grow up to be Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Meanwhile at the Simpson home, Abe falls asleep while babysitting the kids. Bart steals his dentures and eventually breaks them. When Marge and Homer get home, Abe complains about his broken dentures, and Marge sends Bart to bed without dinner. Later that night, Homer sneaks pizza to Bart, but asks him to stop being difficult. Bart promises, but when Homer leaves, he says "Sucker…" under his breath. Bart continues to act bad by tearing up the rug and exploding ketchup packets in the house, but manages to get away with it. Finally, when Bart is asked to watch Maggie and disobeys, Homer tears up Bart's ticket to the upcoming "Itchy and Scratchy Movie" which he was dying to see. Bart attempts many times to sneak into the movie, but Homer manages to keep him from doing it. After a few weeks, even Marge and Lisa protest, telling Homer he is taking Bart's punishment too far. Homer disagrees, and says that this is the only way to make Bart learn, and make him grow up to be something successful. The "Itchy and Scratchy movie" stops showing at the Springfield theater. Many years later, an older Bart (who is now Chief Justice of the Supreme Court) and Homer walk together. They come across the Springfield movie theater which is showing "The Itchy and Scratchy Movie." Homer tells Bart he thinks he has learned his lesson by now, and takes him to see it. They laugh together and watch the movie.
