  • Notes

    • Instead of the usual show introduction, this episode presents a Silly Simpsony titled "MusicVille" in which the family and other characters are seen in the form of musical instruments.  Lisa, as a saxophone, decides to goes to a jazz festival, but is denied her opportunity when Mr. Burns and Smithers, seen as clarinets, enforce the town to be classical music only.  They proceed to have all the other instruments thrown in prison, where they're forced to play only the music he wants.  But Lisa breaks from her chains and plays jazz-themed music, then the others follow her lead, blasting Burns out of prison, and forcing him to hear The Simpsons theme music in rock-n-roll form by the school bullies, seen as electric guitars.  Lisa replaces Burns' "Classical Music Only" sign with an "All Music Welcome" sign and the family and others play in the various forms of music as they please.  The segment fades out with the jazz form of the Simpsons playing to its end.
