Goof: In the scene where Snake is being arrested, Chief Wiggum's hair is black. Later on in another scene, it's blue. Towards the end of the show his hair is black again.
Goof: When Marge pulls her station wagon into the garage, the car is blue instead of the regular red.
(during the shooting test)
Chief Wiggum: You missed the baby, the blind man...
Homer: A counterfeit jeans ring operating in my car hole! I'm gonna go tell everyone…
Herman: Not so fast!
Homer: Ooookay... (slows down)
Herman: Maybe you should just stop entirely.
Moe: Garage? Hey, fellas, the garage. Well, ooh la-di-da, Mr. Frenchman.
Homer: Well, what do you call it?
Moe: A car hole.
Barney: Hey, Homer, I'm worried about the beer supply. After this case, and the other case, there's only one case left!
Reverend Lovejoy: Alright Hans…time to go.
Hans Moleman: But he ate my last meal!
Reverend Lovejoy: If that's the worst thing that happens to you today, consider yourself lucky.
Hans Moleman: Are you really allowed to execute people in a local jail?
Reverend Lovejoy: From this point on, no talking…
Marge: Homer! Taking an officers cap is an arrestable offence.
Homer: What are you gonna do about it, huh!? What are you gonna do? Oooh, I'm officer Marge, I'm gonna arrest you!
Marge: Illegal gambling in my house!?
Moe: Y…Your house? Your house? Gee it's so glamorously decorated I thought I was in Vegas! Hey you guys lied to me; you said I was in Vegas!
Homer: Hey, hurry up with the cards, Lenny. I've got you clocked at 2 miles per hour!
Lenny: Hey put that away… those radar guns give you cancer!
Homer: All the more reason to hurry up! Hey, what could be moving at 100 miles per-- (Lenny punches him)
Lenny: I picked up a nudie deck for our game.
Homer: "The Girls of the Internet." Oh, I'd go online with them any day!
(beating up Bart)
Kearney: Take that, Safety Boy!
Jimbo: This padding's so easy on the knuckles... I could punch all day!
Chief Wiggum: What? What? What, what, what, what, what? This better be about pizza!
Homer: When I first heard that Marge was joining the police academy, I thought it would be fun and exciting, you know, like that movie...Spaceballs. But instead it's been painful and disturbing like that movie, Police Academy.
(using Marge's pepper spray on his breakfast)
Homer: Mmm... incapacitating.
Bart: Wow, Mom. I never pictured you as any kind of authority figure before.
Cop Trainee: Forget about the badge, when do we get the freaking guns?
Chief Wiggum: Hey! I told you you don't get your gun until you tell me your name.
Cop Trainee: I've had it up to here with your rules!
Homer: Marge, you being a cop makes you the man, which makes me the woman, and I have no interest in that. Besides occasionally wearing the underwear which, as we discussed, is strictly a comfort thing.
Blackboard Joke: I will not mock Mrs. Dumbface.
Couch Gag: A parody of the opening of the James Bond films. Homer walks in front of the couch while being viewed from the barrel of a gun. He turns and fires at the gun barrel, and the view turns blood red as the barrel swings down.
Hill Street Blues
While Marge walks the streets as a cop, Hill Street Blues-type music plays in the background. It is also played during the end credit.
Episode Title: "The SpringField Connection"
This title spoofs the 1971 film The French Connection.
