Barney Hiller, the seven million dollar man, is reactivated. Having apparently recovered, he's eager to resume auto racing. However, when the team owner won't let him race, Barney attacks the man and mistakenly believes he's killed him. Barney has a mental break from the stress and goes on crime spree, and Steve must track him down.

Even though Martin E. Brooks had already assumed the role of "Dr.Rudy Wells" in the "Return of the Bionic Woman" Parts 1 & 2, the first two episodes of this season (Season 3), Alan Oppenheimer resumes the role of "Dr. Rudy Wells", at least for this episode. Martin E. Brooks eventually completely takes over the role.
