  • The Liberty Bell is about to lose its chime forever...

    9.3
Old school boys adventure stuff with Steve becoming a Bionic Jimmy Stewart to save the symbolic integrity of Uncle Sam. Spending much of the proceedings inside a truck with The Liberty Bell taking on the role of a helpless maiden strapped to high powered explosives, we get to see another unfortunately rare example of Austin having to use his intellect ahead of his superhuman powers. For that, the viewer benefits enormously, gaining insight into Steve's principles, edge of the seat action counter balanced perfectly by morality that never veers into jingoism. Chuck Connors appears as the crusty con who sees the true value of the American way, thanks to Steve's apple pie philosophy. Bring on the lemonade Stevie baby!moreless
