The Six Wives of Henry VIII

Show Summary

The Six Wives of Henry the VIII is, not surprisingly, about Henry the VIII and his six wives. Viewers see how Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymore, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr each managed to become the Queen of England. We learn about the difficulties theese women went through in order to be Queens, and find out what happened to each at the time of her death. David Starkey tells us about the six women and guides us through the castles where they lived, stayed, or drew their last breaths.

Aired on PBS July 16 and 23, 2003.
