    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • Spell : Van Rehl
        Also known as: Van Rail

Lina: Holy wind. Wind which gently flows across the land. Let all things be filled with your pure breath. (places hand on floor) VAN REHL!

This water spell sends icicle like tentacles towards the target and freezes them like a statue.

      • Xellos opens both of his eyes in this episode, revealing them to be the same color purple as his hair.

      • Monster basics
Saygram makes his debut as Halcyform's partner. He is of the monster race and summoned the magical beasts.

Lina comments that the only folks who can summon magical beasts are skilled sorcerers or monsters.

        Pledge of Immortality
A sorcerer can enter a contract with a monster and for that duration, cannot die. The pledge may be broken by either destroying the pledge stone or calling upon a high level monster like Shabranigdo and casting a Dragon Slave.

    • QUOTES (9)

      • Lina: You see, if we don't get rid of you, we'll never get paid.
Halcyform: Well in that case, I should just make all of you disappear. However, I find the magic of your bodies appealing for my…uses. Hehehe.
        Lina: B-bodies?
(Amelia and Lina hide behind Gourry and push him forward.)
Lina:Gourry, you're into that kind of thing, right? You go with him.
Gourry: (resisting) Hey, hey, who's into what?

      • Lina: (raising fork with meat on it) We definitely cannot let this happen! We have to get paid at all costs! The fierce businesswoman in me cannot, and will not, allow a despicable injustice like this to happen!
Amelia: You say that but still eat on another person's credit!
Lina: (holding Amelia in a headlock in simulated wrestling ring) I don't care about your credit problems!
        Amelia: Rope! Rope!

      • Amelia: We can't just hide here, Mr. Zelgadis! We have to finish them off in ONE FELL SWOOP, right now!
Zelgadis: And how do you propose we fight them?
Amelia: With courage and a righteous heart!
        Zelgadis: I had to ask.
Amelia: A heart that loves Justice shall burn like fire!
        Zelgadis: That should help alot.
Amelia: The fire of Justice in your heart will burn villains to death, naturally!
        Zelgadis: Now, look...!

      • Lina: How could I? For one thing, you were with me the whole time and you didn't know it either.
Gourry: Not true! I knew he was trouble right from the get go.
Lina: Oh, that's right Gourry. You just neglected to mention something THAT important to the rest of us.

      • Lina: Maybe I should stay out of this.
        Amelia: W-whaaaaat?!?!
Lina: I'm not really psyched about fighting some sorcerer who uses human subjects in immortality experiments. Besides, there were those magic beasts. That little incident has given me a bad feeling about all this.
Zelgadis: Well I tell you one thing: If we walk away from this, we can forget about ever seeing our hard earned money.
        Lina: Huh?! That's right!
Zelgadis: We'd have killed all those magic beasts for free.
Lina: (leans over at dinner table with head down) Free?
Amelia: Yeah, that's right! Mr. Tarimu and Mr. Demia are both in prison, remember?
Lina: (lowering head more) For free?

      • Amelia: (standing on top of a pole pointing outward) This despicable man is guilty of countless misdeeds! Everything clearly shows we must go and kill this evil sorcerer! Justice awaits you, fiend! Now, let us go to the place of the battle!
Lina: Hey, mister! We need five dinners over here right away... (Amelia leans over) and just charge everything to the girl on the pole.
        (Amelia groans.)

      • Tarimu: Halcyform would have no trouble casting a summoning spell. You see, over the last few years, he became an arrogant tyrant. Not just arrogant; he was involved in an unsavory branch of research.
        Amelia: Unsavory branch of research?
        Tarimu: Immortality.
        Ameila: Immor...
        Lina: ...tality?
(Camera shows Zelgadis and then Gourry with serious looks.)
Gourry: A branch? (Holds up a piece of bamboo) You mean like this branch right here?
Lina: (whacks Gourry on the head with the bamboo pole) Not that kind of branch, you idiot! He studied how not to die! Eternal life! Understand?
        Gourry: I see.

      • Amelia: Hold it right there!
        Lina: Huh?
Amelia: (while everyone has bulging stunned look) Miss Lina, this man may be an imposter!
        Everyone: Huh?
Amelia: (posing and pointing) Everyone knows that villains who challenge righteousness and disturb the world's order always dress in black!
(Camera zooms to Halcyform's costume which is in white.)
(A fist is positioned in view over Amelia's head and drops)
        Amelia: Ow!
Zelgadis: (to Halcyform) Oh, I'm very sorry about that, but please, go on.

      • Lina: That just doesn't make sense. I mean, call me crazy, but...
Gourry: Oh, I'd be happy to call you crazy.
