Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (7)

    • Amelia casts Flow Break which forms a hexagram around the monster to weaken its power. It's supposedly amplified if cast from the right spot.

Also known as: Ferrous Bleed, Fehris Bleed

Lina: Stars which pass through heaven's night skies. Heed the ancient covenant with the Earth. I pledge my life so that he may be called forth. FERROUS BREED!

A summoning spell to call forth animals.

    • Alfred's father is Christopher. But Amelia initially calls him uncle instead of cousin, implying an age gap.

    • Character Debuts
Kanzel is the court sorcerer reporting to Lord Christopher. He has dark green spiked up hair.

Mazenda is the sorceress girl with the long red hair, white collared shirt, and black skirt. She also works for Lord Christopher.

    • Lina: Subspace

Near the end of this episode, Lina, Amelia, and Alfred are pulled into subspace. It is a magical barrier, but at the same time they are in another dimension. This helps the monster, because this way it doesn't have to fight on the grounds of the White Magic Capital.

    • Goof: When Lina suspect Christopher may be the main plotter, Amelia, with fire in her eyes, wants to capture him as a fiend. However, when Alfred affirms te same idea, she is shocked and doesn't believe it.

    • Crown Princess: Amelia's sister?!

In this episode, Zelgadis brings up Gracia, Amelia's sister who disappeared many years ago. There is speculation that Gracia may be Naga, Lina's old travelling buddy.

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Lina: A-A Monster!
Amelia: And not the same one as before.
Lina: Which means at least two monsters are involved in this. I don't know how much more of this I can take! (thinking as Chibi Lina) One monster is bad enough, but two of them...oh! Give me a break!

    • Alfred: You may have already guessed this, but my father is definitely the main plotter.
Lina: Uh, hello? Should you really be so enthusiastic about this?

    • Alfred: In exchange for me telling you this information, I want to ask one favor of you.
Lina: Well if you just want to ASK the favor.

    • Lina: (not reacting) Oh, wow.
      Amelia: (not reacting) She fell.
Zelgadis: (also not reacting) You people are heartless.

    • Amelia: That's why... We need an absolute level of justice! A burning justice no evil scheme can withstand! A blazing justice! The mightiest justice!

    • Lina: Hey! It's okay! If you think about it from the other side, the plotter is dead in our sights! If we get any proof, we can torture them! Guillotine them! (Giggles) Whatever we want!

    • Mazenda: Your skill is well known among your fellow sorcerers, Miss Inverse. I hope that I get a chance to see you demonstrate it.
Lina: Oh, don't you worry. I think you'll see it. Real soon, I imagine.

    • Messenger: I was told to give this to Miss Lina.
      Lina: What is it?
Amelia: Maybe it's a love letter.
Gourry: Thats the one thing it can't be.
Lina: (punches Gourry in the stomach) Just shut up.

    • Lina: Is Prince Philionel really this popular?
Gourry: Guess this is a case of "appearances can be deceptive", huh?
Amelia: Oh, you guys are so mean! Appearances have nothing to do with popularity!
Zelgadis: Ah, so you also admit there's a problem with his appearance?
(Amelia groans while sweating a big teardrop.)
