Did anyone else think the ending of the final episode was bad? How could they have ended it like that I thought my satelite dish went out but no thats the ending. Kinda a disappointment I think.

It wasn't great, but no one would have seen it coming in a million years.

After reading someone else's post it seems like we (the audience) got whacked in the end and not Tony. Still I find it disappointing.

I liked it persoanlly....It left it open for interpretation. For the last three episodes they have pushed the phrase of what happend when your whacked...which was you never see or hear a thing.

That was awful. Nothing happened... Did Tony live or die? God forbid the network telling us anything. It's nice to leave some stuff open to interpretation but in the final episode of a series like this, it's just rediculous. It didn't live up to the hype.

I hated it, yet I loved it. I must fell like an abused woman, or man, must feel. I'm sick, as is David Chase.

I thought it was good, I have only seen the 6th season all together. The end when the screen went black was either Tony being shot in the head and then the audice do not see anything because you are inside Tony in a way or the audice is the one who got wacked lol

For all of the people looking for answers about the ending, the quote above pretty much gives you the answer. The answer is found in the very first episode when Bobbie and Tony were in the boat and bobbie says when you get whacked you probably don't feel a thing. In last weeks episode Tony has a flashback of this very moment. Therefore in my opinion Tony died in the final episode because the black screen pretty much told us it happend INMO.

OMG!!!! That has got to be the worst ending for any show ever. I was groaning when they went to the dark screen. I've invested 8 years to this show and that's the best they could give us. Last week's show was a better ending to the series than what we got tonight.

What a horrible ending. A total cop-out! Did Tony get wacked? Maybe, but who knows for sure. All that ending means is if Chase wants to do a "Sopranos" movie at a future date he can.

To me I feel like Chase either didn't have the guts to show us what he had in mind or he wanted to p*** us off.

Wasn't there a scene in the Godfather where a guy goes in the bathroom and gets a gun taped behind the toilet and then goes out and kills everyone?

If they wanted to make the ending good, then there should have been a gunshot sound and then they went to black. That would've made people think.

That's a great point actually... never looked at it like that.
My conclusion is that the family was "whacked", and Meadow was witness to it at the front door. The reason she didn't die ties in with the faith theme that has been off and on throughout the entire season of the show, she only lived because she couldn't park... which could be interpreted as fate and God letting her live. They also played a fitting song at the end that supports what I just said. I liked the ending actually.

Why kill the whole family? Also in the Godfather he didn't kill everyone, he killed a corrupt cop who broke his jaw and a drug lord gangster who had his father (The don btw) shot a couple of times so yeah, The Godfather

I think that it was left for US to interpret. So what that we didn't see how it "ends" for Tony. Do we HAVE to? Characters go on in "TV Land" without us knowing what happens. Great ending, IMO. My heart is still racing. THAT is what they wanted.
