In the wake of the death of the owner of Barone Sanitation, son Jason plans to sell the business to Cinelli, a New York family front, but has no clue of the repercussions such a move would have on Tony's 'family.' Tony prods Jason to let him handle things, but Jason still doesn't undertand what Tony's really getting at.
Meanwhile, an aunt of Paulie's summons him to her death bed at a convent, where she makes a startling confession: she's his mother and Nucci is actually his aunt. Paulie skips the subsequent funeral and berates Nucci.
Tony spends time with rapper De Lux, also in for gunshot wounds. When aspiring rapper Marvin complains that now his album won't be produced by De Lux anytime soon, Bobby has a solution to help him gain cred: shooting him in "the fleshy part of the thigh."
Tony takes a meeting with Phil Leotardo about Barone Sanitation, and how Jersey and New York can split the pot. Most important is the W-2 that Tony needs to legitimize his tax returns. When an acceptable deal is not offered by Johnny, Paulie and Patsy pay Jason a 'friendly visit' to urge him to stop the sale, but the potential buyer is not cooperative. Tony finally explains the seriousness of the situation to Jason, and Jason's mother come to beg for leniency, explaining Jason never knew Barone Sanitation was a Mob front.
Eventually, Tony, via Phil, accepts Johnny's proposed new splitting of the sale's aftermath, but Paulie still wants something. He angrily beats Jason and demands $4,000/month, and threatens to "stick this [gun] up your ass and pull the trigger" if Tony ever finds out.
