This week shown more promise and less of a 'budget movie' feel.

Finally. Gets on track. Need more now.

And suddenlyTrue Blood is Sesame Street. The no holds bar horror begins and that goth rocker scene too. Whoa.
  • Abraham Setrakian.

This is no longer about disease control, Eph and Nora's boss Everett tells them when they confront him about the phony carbon monoxide story being fed to the media. this is about damage control, that's why the strain is such a threat, it's pervasive, relentless and so sneaky that the ineptitude displayed by the CDC has from the start doomed New York. Eph and Nora have lost the only patient they had, Captain Redfern, whose condition deteriorated, he flees his hospital bed and goes into the basement, where he begins feeding on blood bags. Eph shows up and beats him to death with a fire extinguisher, they need to meet with Abraham, otherwise i really can't see Abraham killing all the passengers single handedly. For the guys their genitals fall off (really), at least i know now what Eichorst really looks like. Fantastic Episode.moreless
  • Finally, something is beginning to happen.

    6.5
As for a horror story, the action begins quite late. Hope to be really scared in the next episode. But judging on the previous episodes, I fear really scary stuff will start about episode 10. I still don't understand that family story--the divorce, the custody--this is a major distraction and rather badly written, too. It seems that the script writers wanted to put too much in the show. The things we have already been able to see are (1) a poor family drama, (2) slimy/gory/plastic horror scenes from the seventies plus "the master", (3) a latino gangsta drama, (4) a rat killer (another distraction at this stage), (5) a deep psychological drama about treachery, (6) something that looks like aliens, and (7) a medical horror story in the vein of Helix, but much worse so far. I wonder if we will see Smurfs soon.moreless
