The ambulance that takes Robbins to the hospital has a California license plate that has three numbers and then three letters, which would seem to indicate a civilian vehicle. Since the ambulance is an emergency vehicle, its license plate should presumably (at least by mid-1970s California standards) consist of an enclosed "E" followed by six numbers.
