When rugby legend Blake Davis is found dead in the hotel spa where his team was staying, the investigation focuses on Rachel Marr, a woman seen arguing with the deceased in the hotel lobby on the morning of his murder. Tully's former partner, Charlie Palmer, is also involved, having been hired by the team to conduct his own investigation. Tully finds that Palmer has more on his mind than the murder when he has an interesting proposition for her.
