Eve then says, "I have to say for me, personally, I am a fan of Jay and Beyoncé, and I love how they've been so honest about their love the past few years... just seeing a little more intimacy from them, to me, it's sexy, it's heart, so... Underwood thinks it's a "negative contribution on society" and tells Chen, "Julie, Carrie Ann, now on behalf of 1-800-Rent-A-Black-Mama, I'm going to allow you to have a franchise of 1-800-Rent-An-Asian-Tiger-Mom."moreless
  • Kelsey Grammer Applauds Roseanne, Dishes on Reviving Hit Sitcom 'Frasier'

    Clip

    5/24/18

Kelsey Grammer opens up on plans for a re-boot of his hit sitcom "Frasier," saying "there's been some talk of it, you know, we've been chatting about it, trying to sort out what we would do. Sara [Gilbert] did such a great job with 'Roseanne'... I'm so happy for Roseanne, what a great time for her and what a wonderful thing to get recognition again like that... I'm not sure we can top that... we have some ideas. You know [co-star] John [Mahoney] died recently... we couldn't pick it up where we left it off. I don't really have much interest in doing that. If it were going to be anything I'd want it to be an act three for Frasier of some sort."moreless
  • Carrie Ann Inaba Yelled at by 'Dancing With The Stars' Producer, 'I was so upset'

And there was a few times that (fellow judge) Bruno [Tonioli] and I got it wrong, like we'd punch it in and they'd turn it off and then we'd hold up the score we thought we gave but apparently we punched in the wrong number. And so Bruno and I both did it wrong and a producer came out and screamed at me, in front of the whole audience. I was so upset because I was like, 'Well Bruno did it also, I didn't see you scream at Bruno,' which was interesting. I just screamed back. It was a male producer. I did stand up for myself... For me, it's more important to let go of it so I can move on."moreless
  • Eve on Kendrick Lamar Fan Singing 'N-Word': 'No one should use it, black, white, whatever'

    Clip

    5/22/18

The hosts of THE TALK discuss Kendrick Lamar calling out a white fan for saying the "N-word" after he invited her on stage. "I know she was singing the song the way she sings it when she listens to it with her friends... it's just that word is not a word that people should use," says Eve. "No one should use it, black, white, whatever... I use it a lot in my earlier career, and I consciously now don't really use it that much... it kind of maybe slips out because that's the way I grew up and that's how you talk to your friends, but I don't use it in my music, I don't write about it, I don't write it in my music anymore. I can understand how it could be confusing to someone because they might like a song a certain way, but I think we know at this point that that's just not a word you should say, and especially if you aren't black... And is it right, should we still be using it, should we be saying it to each other? Probably not. I just don't think we should be using it."moreless
  • Eve Reveals 'dark period,' 'popping Xanax and drinking'

    Clip

    5/15/18

Eve opens up about a time when she also struggled with self-harm, sharing, "At a time in my life, at a point in my life, I'd gone through, like she says, a dark hole. I call it my 'dark hole' period, my dark period... I was out of a toxic relationship, I didn't have the TV show, I didn't have a record deal. I was just kinda like, what is happening with my life. So I started drinking, a lot... I didn't want to deal with my emotions, I didn't have anybody to really talk to. I was even popping Xanax and drinking to numb my pain. And at the time, while I was in it, I didn't see that I was harming myself. I just felt like I was coping but I really wasn't. You know, you think of harming yourself as cutting or something, but drinking and drugs is exactly the same thing... it took my DUI to wake me up... [I]was able to get healthy. I prayed myself through it."moreless

But she's got to have a good sense of humor because, I'm sorry, looking at her and looking at him, sorry... she's obviously not at all swayed by looks... he's got awful dandruff, scaly skin, and he stinks a bit..." Sara Gilbert positions it a different way, saying, "She obviously misjudged the guy... I don't want to attack her character for liking him."moreless

I always used to say to Ozzy, ‘you don’t want to be here [up], because from here there’s only way - and that’s down, you stay here and you’re a constant that stays here and as long as your music is relevant – it’s still being played, it’s being used in films and commercials - you will always have a career, just stay right in the middle.’ ”moreless
