The Three Stooges Show

Season 14 Episode 2

Fright Night

Aired Daily 6:00 PM Mar 06, 1947 on AMC

  • Trivia

    • You can see a moving shadow cross the paint can when Chuck shoots it.

    • As Shemp is trying to climb the ropes to get into the ring, we see close-ups of Chopper putting his gloves on. But in the longshots of Shemp, Chopper's gloves are already on.

    • When Big Mike first notices Moe standing behind Moose, there is a sudden cut to Shemp walking past some boxes. Not only does this shot not belong here, but it is identical to one seen earlier in the film.

    • When Moose sits down in front of the tarp, there is no hole in it. Moments later, when Moose is knocked out, there is suddenly a hole for Moe to reach through.

    • When Shemp dumps the mothballs on the floor, he is holding an axe. The axe is gone in the next shot.

    • When Chopper is first seen, he has a dumbbell in his right hand and a magazine in his left. The two suddenly change places in the next shot.

  • Quotes

    • (The gangsters are using Shemps' head as a battering ram.)
      Shemp: You're crushing my eyebrows!

    • Shemp: Look, you tell Big Mike...
Big Mike: I'm Big Mike! What do you want to tell me?
Shemp: Oh, hello. Isn't it a lovely evening?

    • Moe: What does your watch say?
Shemp: Tick tick tick tick tick!

    • (Moe hands Shemp a helmet for the match.)
Moe: Yeah, we're gonna put this on your head.
      Shemp: Thanks.
Larry: We don't want The Chopper to hurt his hand!

    • Moe: You can start on the dummy.
(Chopper begins acting like he wants to punch Shemp.)
Shemp: Wait a minute! Wait a minute! He means the other dummy!

    • Larry: He's so goofy you could knock him down with a handful of peanuts...without the shells.

    • Shemp: Are you trying to scare somebody?
      Moose: Yeah!

    • (Chopper wants Shemp to be his sparring partner.)
Chopper: Aw, don't be a baby! It's all in fun!
      Shemp: I hate fun!

    • Shemp: Please don't shoot me Mr. Big Mike. I'm too young and good looking to die. Well, I'm too young.
