Although Moe closes his mouth after being pied by Curly, his voice is still heard singing along with Curly and Larry.
Although the Stooges supposedly crash through the kidnapper's door, it is obviously open a bit before they break through.
When Curly tries to smear Moe's face with the custard at the end of the film, he misses at first and quickly has to try again.
When Curly breaks the lightbulb in the dark cellar, the light continues to shine even after the breaking sound is heard.
(Curly pulls himself up with a spear through his stomach.)
Curly: Fellows I'm stabbed, I'm dead, I'm murdered, I'm killed, I'm annihilated! What will the world do without me? What will I do without myself? I'm slaughtered, I'm annihilated, I'm destroyed, I'm barbacued, I'm done for ....can you think of anything else?
(Moe reveals the spear to be a harmless prop.)
Moe: No, you've covered it all.
Curly: I'm not even wounded?
Moe: That's what you think!
(Moe hits Curly.)
Mr. Williams: The dumbwaiter!
Curly: Hey! I resent that!
Moe: Not you! The other dumbwaiter!
(The metal bedframe is bent over Butch's head.)
Curly: Oh, look! Bent to fit the head!
(Moe discovers the handcuffs on Mr. Wilson.)
Moe: This one's locked too. What'll we do now?
Curly: Well, you break the arm off about there, and...you don't like that...then we can blast.
Butch: Who's there?
(Curly runs the opposite way Moe is pointing.)
Moe: What are you doing?
Curly: I'm winding up for a flying start!
Curly: How tall are you?
Larry: Have you got a bald spot?
Moe: Can you yodel?
Butch: Crazy people!
(Moe is holding some lollipops.)
Larry: Oh, lollipops! I want a lollipop!
Curly: Give me a lollipop!
Larry: Aw, give us a pop!
Moe: You want a pop?
(Moe hits Curly and Larry.)
The Stooges: Our Yankee noodle soup is good, you'll find that it's no phony. If you don't eat your noodle soup we'll serve you macaroni!
(While searching for Mr. Williams, Curly begins measuring a horse.)
Moe: Hey, what are you trying to do?
Curly: Don't you believe in reincarnation?
(Curly keeps trying to yodel to find Mr. Williams, but keeps getting hit by furniture thrown from an apartment above.)
Moe: It''s him! Quick, answer him!
Curly: Not me! There might be a loose piano up there!
Larry: Is that the sun up there?
Curly: I don't know. I'm a stranger in town.
The song I'm a Cowboy from the Western Plains can also be heard in the later Stooges episode From Nurse to Worse (1940).
Running time: 17 minutes 45 seconds
The scenes involving the Stooges and the dumbwaiter are reworked almost exactly from Three Little Pigskins (1934) and Laurel & Hardy's Pack Up Your Troubles (1932).
