The Three Stooges Show

Season 25 Episode 3

Pies and Guys

Aired Daily 6:00 PM Jun 12, 1958 on AMC

  • Trivia

    • It is quite obvious that Prof. Sedlitz will be hit with a pie during the ending fight because he quickly takes off his glasses moments before the pie splatters in his face. Since he had no reason to remove them, it is obviously a gag set-up.

    • When Sappington is introducing the Stooges to the two professors, he accidentally almost says "gentlemen" but quickly changes it to "professor".

    • A freeze-frame is used when Sappington pulls hismelf up off the floor after being trampled by the Stooges.

  • Quotes

    • Moe: (eating the imaginary soup) Delicious! Just like the cans my mother used to make!

    • Joe: Hey, Moe. There's a hair on my plate!
      Moe: That's no hair, it's a crack!
Joe: Well, it's the first time I've ever seen a crack wiggle like that!
Moe: Oh, that's neither hair nor there.

    • (Prof. Quackenbush examines Larry's head.)
Quackenbush: You know, Professor Sedlitz, there is definite evidence of vacancy of the cranium!
      Larry: Oh, thank you, Professor!

    • Joe: (looking over Quackenbush's house) What a joint!
      Moe: They must be crooks!

    • Larry: This joint's prettier than the reform school!

    • Prof. Quackenbush: Now, the first thing at the table is the serviette.
Joe: I never ate one of those!

    • (Moe and Larry are flirting with Lulu.)
      Larry: Baby, you send me!
Moe: Then why don't you go?

    • (Moe spots the silverware that Joe stole.)
      Moe: You kleptomaniac!
Joe: If that means what I think it does...I'm guilty.

    • Moe: (reading) Oh, see the cat. Does the mouse see the cat? (Looks at Larry) Yes, the dirty rat.
      Larry: Don't get personal.

    • Joe: (reading) Oh, see the deer. Does the deer have a little doe?
      Larry: Yeah, two bucks.

    • Prof. Quackenbush: If I gave you one dollar and your father gave you a dollar, how many dollars would you have?
      Larry: One dollar.
Prof. Sedlitz: You don't know your arithmetic.
Larry: You don't know my father.
