  • The Stooges move out west to practice dentistry.

A mediocre entry. The short starts off fairly well, with Moe, Larry, and Shemp being bounced from job to job and winding up as dentists. Some good lines from Vernon Dent, and the evil dentures are highlights of the first reel. Things kind of go both down hill and off the wall from the point that Stooges move west. Larry has very little to do in these sequences. Many of the operation gags are sight gags and allow the Stooges to utilize very little wordplay. Some of the scenes in which they operate on Slim Gaut are quite painful, such as drilling the side of his head. Dick Curtis, in his final Stooges role, doesn't really get much to do, and alot of the carpentry/dentistry cross gags just didn't do it for me. Average entry.
