  • Moe, Larry, and Curly raise money by pretending to be three fanous doctors and treating a wild socialite.

This has all of the makings of a beautiful Stooges film. Unlike many examples, this film has a very ample plotline, proving that the Stooges can follow an A-B-C format even while doing their wild antics. The second reel at the party is the highlight, with jokes about everything under the sun, from tamales, to wooden legs, to alcohol. The food fight is fast and thrilling. Lorna Gray, although her laughter is forced, meshes wonderfully with the Stooges, and Don Beddoe, a dramatic actor, shines as her flustered husband. Bud Jamison and Ann Doran, both add brief bits of comedy, making this a fun and memorable Stooges adventure.moreless
