The Tick and Arthur run afoul of Venus, a portly but alluring love goddess/villain, and her sycophantic sidekick, Milo. The villains successfully remove The Tick and Arthur's arms and attach them to a pair of crude lookalike robots. Venus begins a crime spree with the help of the heroes' arms, while The Tick and Arthur evade a police manhunt and try to reclaim their errant extremities and save the day.moreless

This is definately a unique episode in the series. A villain with the ability to make men fall in love with her, Venus, and her simpering lackey, Milo, are thwarted in an escape by a plumber. They end up losing face in the villain community and are not invited to the Enemy Awards (an anual awards show celebrating villainy). Venus devises a plan to control the Tick to be her partner in crime. When that doesn't work, Milo suggests the next best thing: steal the Tick's and Arthur's arms! The evil duo puts the heroes' arms on a pair of robots and claim to the public the robots are Tick and Arthur (though the robots look nothing like their heroic counterparts). Tick and Arthur then decide to sneak into the Enemy Awards to get their arms back and stop Venus.

This episode has wacky humor and is a big example why "The Tick" is so fun to quote out of context. Nothing's funnier than the looks you get when you say, "If you're really evil, then just eat this kitten!" Overall, this episode truly embraces the spirit of the whole show. Definately worth a watch.moreless

Wow the Tick can stop crimes without arms

When a villian and her boyfriend, named venus and Milo, get foiled by a plumber in there latest robbery they lose there invition to the enemy awards. To ensure they get invited again Milo creates a device that will make The Tick and Arthurs arms fall off. THey collect there severed arms and make a Tick and Arthur robot to use in all of there crimes. So the Tick and Arthur try to get there arms back by tracking them to the enemy awards. This episode was okay but it was definatly not the best, atleast it was the second apperances of The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs At Midnight. The funniest part of this episode was when The Tick and Arthur try to find out where the enemy awards are by pretending there evil and to prove there evil The Forehead tells them to prove thereselfs by eating a kittenmoreless

This episode is very funny. It is perhaps the first instance that took kitten-eating and made it hysterical

A great episode. Really the humorous spirit of the Tick. I am having trouble thinking of a way of summerizing what was so wonderful about this episode. So let me just mention a few things that someone who's seen it will laugh at (but that wont spoil it for someone who hasn't had the pleasure- Venus and Milo, Plungerman, The Two Headed Tick-Arthur Engine of Justice, Enemy Awards, Then eat this kitten, We're unarmed.... That just about sums it up. When the villain holds the cat up to the screen and it's animated in pseudo-realistic detail, it's hard not to wet your pants.moreless

So the Tick must learn how to fight evil with a handicap. But then, how do you maintain a handicap when you don’t have any HANDS!

This is probably one of the creepier episodes of the Tick I am ever likely to see. I can’t say that it is laugh-out-loud funny, but there is something primordially distasteful and yet comical at seeing the Tick with no arms. The highlight of this episode is when the Tick is brooding on top of his apartment building reminiscing of all the fun times he used to have back when he had arms. I also enjoy the fact that nobody in the City realized that the fake Tick was…well, fake. This episode is worth checking out for the sheer absurdity of it all, but I don’t think many will find it to be altogether funny.moreless
