  • Much better then The Tick Vs. The Brainchild

    9.0
When a giant nanny in a robotic suit terroizes the city the Ticks tries to stop her and gets captured by her and takes him to Brainchild. It seems Brainchild created a device that turned the Tick into a two head bird who can only speak high school french and decides to auction him off to the highest bidding super villian, unless Arthur, Sewer Urchin, Die Flatormas, and American Maid gets in there way. I like this episode, which is strange because I didn't like The Tick Vs. The Brainchild. It was great to see some good ol' villians again(The Idea Men, Chairface Chippendale, Proffesor Chromedome, Pinnapple Pokopo, and The Terror). THe one thing I don't like about this episode is that El Seed trees appear but not El Seed himself.moreless
  • This episode features an all-star cast of infamous villains as well as Tick’s ever-present allies. Unfortunately, its not enough to really save this episode.

    4.8
This is not a particularly memorable episode. By this point, the audience has become very familiar with the style of humor used in this program, and it becomes more difficult to evoke decent laughs. The only real pleasure to be derived from this episode comes from the fact that there are so many guest appearances. We’ve got the return of Brainchild, as well as Pineapple Pokobo, the Terror, Chairface Chippendale, Chrome Dome and the Idea Men.

Despite this episodes mundane antics, I did get a kick out of seeing the Tick shrunken to the size of a doll and given a second head. This episode is for die-hard Tick fans only.

    • Sewer Urchin: Yah. Definitely have a bucket on my head.

    • Brainchild: Now, who will start the opening bid?
      Pineapple Pokopo: Sixteen dollars.
Brainchild: You're kidding, right? This is the Tick we're talking about! It's not like I'm trying to unload Die Fledermaus!
      Die Fledermaus: Seventeen dollars!

    • Brainchild: At last, The Tick, my archenemy, sits helpless before me.
Tick: Archenemy? You must be joking, Charles. I mean I don't like you and everything, but if I ever do have an archenemy, it's not going to be some creepy little brat with a glass head!

    • The Terror: Well, I don't know, when I was your age, kid, we didn't have all this high-tech hocus pocus; see, if you were really evil, you'd just walk up to a guy and smack 'em in the head!

    • The Tick: Evil has been rousted and the babysitter's been paid! Come heroes, our work here is done. You know, even though today was the worst day of my life, I learned many things. First, the world looks a lot different when you're six inches tall and covered with feathers. Second, two heads are definitely not better than one! And finally, you can lay an egg and still feel like a man!

    • The Tick: You're saying we have to find the fiend before we can use the fiend finder? What a ripoff!

    • Die Fledermaus: I wonder how much the Tick is worth on the open market...

  • NOTES (1)

    • Even though Rob Paulsen is still present on the show as the 2nd voice of Arthur, Paulsen does not reprise his role as Charles/Brainchild. Rather, Brainchild is voiced in this episode by Stuart Stone.
