  • The Tick Vs. The Tick is a Classic.

The Tick and his buddies goto this Superhero's club, and wouldn't you know that The Tick fights another goofy Character named The Tick only his whole name is Barry "The Tick" and Barry wants to be the only one named The Tick.

Also there is a Character named The Evil Midnight Bomber that Bombs at Midnight, who is a real crack pot that is really funny.

There is alot funny lines, that The Tick says, and also Arthur isn't allowed into the the Comet Club, so he has to goto the Sidekick Lounge, where he almost gets beaten up.

The way this episode ends is The Tick fights back on Barry and saves the Comet Club by getting all of the Midnight bombers, bombs and throws them on the Sidekicks lounge.moreless
  • A night out on the town goes very, very wrong.

All Arthur, the Tick and Arthur's sister want to do is go out and have a good time.

All Barry Hubris wanted to do was be a superhero. Except his life turned out not to be very super.

And the Evil Mad Bomber What Bombs at Midnight? Well, he-- bombs at midnight.

One night, these paths converge, at a nightspot for superheroes.

Once indoors, Arthur is booted down to the sidekicks' area. Elsewhere, Barry Hubris decides this will be his night to shine. He spots the Tick, and despairs anew: someone else already has the role he desired. Poor Evil Bomber can't quite get a handle on this bomb-throwing deal, mostly because he keeps babbling and drooling.

Whoever said violence doesn't settle anything, never beat anybody.

A hysterical episode, with one of the best fights ever. I could say that about almost every show. But it's still true!moreless
  • This episode has everything!

When The Tick, Arthur, Die Flatormas, and Sewer Urchin go to a super hero club the Tick finds himself defending his name form another super hero wanna be named Barry a.k.a The Tick. Unfortunatly a villian called The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs At Midnight tries to blow up the club with exploses. Meanwhile Arthur isn't allowed in the club because he's not a hero, so he's sent to the sidekick louge, and Die flatormas practically hits on every girl at the club. The best thing in this episode is The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs At Midnight. He's just one of the most craziest characters on the show and thats saying a lot. To understand what I'm talking about you have to see it to believe it.moreless
  • A classic Tick episode, featuring the first appearence of superhero/Tick-wannabe Barry. Fans of the original Tick comic book series (which the cartoon is based upon) will be familiar with seeing Barry, who claims he is really "The Tick." Barry's biggestmoreless

The Tick, Arthur, Die Fledermaus and Sewer Urchin take a ride to a "superhero nightclub." When they get there, Arthur is escorted to the "sidekick nightclub", which is a small barn with 2 animal themed sidekicks. Back at the superhero convention, The Tick is told by a cast of colorful heros about a crazy superhero Barry who wants to defeat The Tick. Barry eventually arrives and challenges Tick to a battle. While this is going on, a villian named "The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight" is planting bombs all around the nightclub (and even one on Tick's chest), and due to the tension between Tick and Barry, no one notices. In the end, The Tick overcomes Barry's shield that resembles a Tick (also Barry's logo.)moreless
  • There are a scant few episodes that can honestly be said to be ranked amongst the TOP GREATEST of Tick episodes. But this one is pretty darn close.

This one is great! We get the kookiest villain of all time in this ep – the Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs At Midnight! This guy is crack-baby crazy! Plus you get to see the Tick fight up against another guy named the Tick (who is also a guy named Barry). The Tick’s on his game though and the witty barbs are non-stop. This is probably one of the more action packed episodes, and there’s a frenetic type of claustrophobia as the bulk of the episode takes place in a small bar called the Comet Club. This one definitely makes my top-10 list of favorite Tick episodes.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • This episode begins with a cold opening with The Tick and Arthur being grilled by an offscreen interviewer. "The Tick VS The Idea Men" begins the same way.

Present at the Comet Club are: Mighty Agrippa, Roman God of the Aqueduct, Jet Valkyrie (a woman!), Fishboy, Lost Prince of Atlantis, Bigshot and American Maid.

We learn from this episode that Bigshot has been going to Anger Management. (In "The Tick VS The Idea Men", Tick suggests that Bigshot "seek professional help.")

Present in the Sidekicks' Lounge: Arthur, a talking dog in a cape (perhaps a homage to the SuperFriends' first mascot, Wonder Dog), a disgruntled talking orangutan, and another teen human sidekick (who quits after the Lounge is blown up.)

There is a memorial to a deceased sidekick on the wall of the Sidekicks' Lounge. (Apparently, in the City sidekicks are basically just human shields.)

Jim the Doorman: Yes, but most men call me... Jim.

    • Barry: Where's the jerk that calls himself "The Tick"?!
The Tick: I am that jerk. Who wants to know?
Barry: You stole My Superhero name, Parasite! I...Am...The...Tick!

    • Barry: Say uncle!
      The Tick: Okay. Uncle.
Barry: No, No! You know, I mean, Renounce your name and call me the Tick!
