      • (Matt and Al watch Alexandra demonstrate rhythmic gymnastics.)
Matt: See the twirling, and the dipping, and the..and the flexibility part?
        Al: Yeah, I see.
Matt: We're not gonna do that.
        Al: We're not doing that.
(Alexandra throws the ribbon in the air, somersaults twice.)
        Al: Uh oh. (gasp)
        Matt: Whoa.
        (Alexandra catches the ribbon.)
        Al: Oh yeah, that's easy.
        Matt: You better be ready.
        Al: (covering face) We're dead.
Matt: When that thing's stuck in the middle of your back.
Al: I'm gonna say Geez. Why don't I just do Javelin Catching?

      • (Following Nadia/Bart interview and Natalie does the national news.)
Al: Nadia and Bart, they have a real chemistry together, don't they?
Meredith: They do. Well, 'cause they're married.
        Al: Yes.
        (Meredith starts laughing.)
Matt: Meredith just said to us that she thought Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner made a good team because they played off each other very well. You said, well, they're married.
Meredith: I didn't know that! (everyone laughs) This is my first Olympics. I didn't. Come on, how can I know all that?
Al: It wasn't in the papers.
Meredith: I can't keep all of this in my head! And you know what? I think they're a lovely couple. Newlyweds?
        Al: Yeah!
        Matt: Oh yeah. Twenty years.
Al: They're registered at Willowby's. Anyway.
Meredith: Oh, okay, Mister, thank you.
Matt: That's why we love you.
Meredith: Yeah, that's why? Okay. You know, you're gonna be doing your little sports soon, remember that.
        (Al and Matt nod.)
Matt: I take back what I said.
        Al: I gotcha.
