      • (Ann Curry shares news about teenager whose parents got a 400 page cell phone bill for texting.)
Ann: While her texting plan is unlimited, her cell phone usage is not. So it didn't cost them as much as it might have. It is now 7:18; let's check back with Meredith, Matt, and Al. The upside of this is that she can lift a person with her thumbs. (Meredith and Matt laugh.) That's, very strong.
        Matt: Mr. Roker.
        Al: Jackie Curry.

      • Jeff: And yes, just for the sake of television, I have properly placed a thermometer five layers deep here in the top side of my jacket where I am now getting a reading of 88 degrees. So it does work, and I've been out here for about 30 minutes this morning. So it does work, if you want to stay nice and warm. You'll want to wear those layers. Meanwhile, you'll want to check on delays and also school closings that are out there this morning here in the Northeast. That's the latest here from Hartford, back to you, Matt.
Matt: We're going to take your word for as to where that thermometer is. (Meredith laughs, studio laughs.)
(Jeff reaches in pocket and pulls out thermometer display.)
Jeff: It's right over here at the top.
        Meredith: Ohhh
Matt: (waving hand) God, nevermind, nevermind, nevermind! Gotta go, gotta run. Thanks Jeff.
Meredith: Not where it is, where it's been. (Matt giggles) Yeah, exactly. Now let's head this side to Rockefeller Plaza where Mr. Roker has his freezing forecast. Good morning, Al.
Al: Well, I don't have any thermometers placed strategically…
