According to their producer, the last time Meredith, Matt, Ann, and Al were broadcasting in the same place was in Beijing, 20 days ago. The last time they were together in Studio 1-A was 60 days ago.
(Keith Miller finishes his report on the supercollider experiment in Geneva that could generate a black hole.)
Matt: You know, Keith, seeing scientists dance to hip hop is not making me feel a lot better to this. Is there any real reason to be alarmed here?
Keith Well the scientists here say no, and they do have two independent studies to back them up, saying basically this project has a green light. But the experiments they are doing which are very complex are very, very small. So no galaxy eating black holes here. Meanwhile, Matt, I'll be leaving Geneva this afternoon.
(Matt and Meredith laugh.)
Matt: (laughs) Yeah. When in doubt, save your own rear end, right Keith? That's great. Alright, Keith Miller in Geneva. Keith, thank you very much.
Meredith: Keith will be leaving this afternoon. I'll start drinking this afternoon. (laughs)
Matt: (laughing) You were really glued to the set now.
Meredith: Well, come on. How legitimate is that scientist though?
Matt: We'll have to do a little more backstudy.
Meredith: Fast! Do it fast!
Matt: I'll Google that guy in about ten minutes.
Matt: (about world's largest atom smasher) But could it backfire in a very big way? We're talking a black hole that could suck up the Earth, which sounds bad to me. I don't know.
(Meredith and studio laughing.)
Meredith: Does it sound?? I mean, you might not be here tomorrow.
Matt: It's like Ghostbusters. Tell 'em 'bout the Twinkie. Anyway…
