Bill Wendell was the announcer, and Peter Handley, Maureen Arthur and Art Lund appeared as regulars. "Oriental Blues" was used as the theme song. -
With this show, Ernie Kovacs becomes the permanent Monday-Tuesday host. Excerpts from an undated Kovacs Tonight show appeared on the Showtime special, "Ernie Kovacs- Television's Original Genius." Those excerpts included the show opening, a sight gag involving a tympani, and a split-screen gag with guest Jean Shepherd.
