Larry and Sally Burton were celebrating their honeymoon in Africa when Larry was dragged off by baboons and assumed dead. Sally, who was expecting, went on with her life and married the stuffy Boyd Flatt. A decade after disappearing, Larry returns, and disrupts everyone's lives. Plus, he's taken with his former sister-in-law, Gabriella, who couldn't stand him before he went away and dislikes him even more now.
