It's over. First Damages (possibly), then Lost, then Law and Order and now The Tudors. 2010 saw the end of several classic dramas.

What I am going to remember the most about The Tudors is the strong performance by Jonathan Rhys Meyers as King Henry VII. Easily the best portrayal ever of the historical figure and one that should have garnered him numerous awards (hopefully he can finally break through with an Emmy nomination this year.) Meyers brought so much passion to the role from the first cut to Henry's dying days.

I'll also remember this show as a sharp soap opera esque take on the 1500's. While it was never the coolest show on TV, The Tudors more often than not, had you on the edge of your seat, even though every episode could have been spoiled via Wikipedia.

The Tudors may have deviated from the history books from time to time, but the one consistent thing about the show was just how good it was. Sad to see it go out with minimal fan fair.moreless

Death Of A Monarchy was a perfect episode and pefect series finale of The Tudors. I really enjoyed watching this episode because there was a lot of character and plot development and every thing was wrapped up pretty well. It was interesting to see the process leading to the final painting of Henry VIII. It was great to see all of the Royal Family. This episode had a little of every thing that made the series fun and entertaining to watch. I thought it was awesome how at the end there was text telling the rest of the story. I think their should have been a spinoff or next season following subsequent events. Though this show may not follow history perfectly, it was very entertaining and gave a look into the life style of Royals during this time. This show was a spectacular reimagining of the story of King Henry the VIII!!!!!!!moreless
