Is there much nudity in this show? I watched all of Season 1 on CBC here in Canada and while I was told it was edited down to 1 hr. (with commercials), it wasn't because of the nudity. In fact, they said the nudity wasn't going to be edited. However, I saw very little in the way of naked bodies. I do remember seeing a topless scene by Anne Boleyn's character in the last episode. But really, not much else. Did I miss much in getting to see only the edited version? The uncut DVD is available here, but I don't want to spend the time to watch it all again. However, I don't think I'll watch Season 2 whenever it starts on CBC again. I want to see the uncut Showtime version, so I'll probably have to wait for Season 2 on DVD, which of course, won't come out until after Season 2 has completely aired in the U.S.....oh well.

There is a fair bit of nudity in the first few episodes but as the nudity doesn't, in my view, add to the storyline I don't think you are missing out on anything.

There's not nearly as much nudity as people like to make it out that there is.

Well, that's one opinion. It's generally shot to show more of bit players while suggesting but not showing much of the principals: more smoke than fire.

In the first few episodes they had a lot of nudity but with time it decreased but now that there is less nudity I agree that it is graphic! I really think that the show CAN go on without all those sex scenes. And when they are not having sex scenes they insinuate it. We get it! THEY HAD LOTS OF SEX BACK THEN.

It gets really embarrassing when I am watching it with my parents

Just an example of the light stuff.

LOL, I'm sorry but that made me laugh

I don't actually feel that the sex is THAT graphic, but they do try to imply and make it look like you see more than you actually see.

Even recent episodes had some sex scenes, remember Thomas Wyatt in the woods with Katherine's lady-in-waiting??

I know! My parents were happy thinking that I was watching a historical documentary of the Tudors until .....

Even a woman who wanted to be the Bride of Jesus was corrupted and "made out" in the open woods. She was supposed to be pure and clean and suddenly she joined the club of women-seen-half-naked-or-participated-in-full-nudity-scenes-in-The-Tudors. I think this club should be opened. It will be popular! Think of the number of of members!

Your opinion of graphic must be porn. It was pretty graphic in the first season but they have toned it way down this season. With the acting on the show they don't need it, I liked the scenes but hey I'm immature. That being said the sexiest scene so far was with clothes on, with Anne and Henry in I think ep.17 when they made the last baby.

Yes, I agree that scene was laughable. She passionately kisses a man she had rejected up to this point, and in about 30 seconds he has half her clothes off, finally when she is topless, facing away from him she asks something like "What are you doing?"

Haha, this show already had a reputation for obviously not being for the younger ones...and I think that they show some advisory before...

    But i enjoy it...nevertheless.

The "NUDITY" is not more than The "EXECUTION" in this series... MY GOD in 2 seasons most of the important people are Gone...

maybe the nudity is a recovery for all the bad killing scenes that we saw

Well, I'm sad to say that I had to watch an edited version of Season 1, but today I rented Season 2 on dvd, which says it is unedited, so now I'll be able to watch it the way it was meant to be watched and see it the way U.S. viewers saw it. I really should go back and rent Season 1 from what I've read here, but I just don't have all those extra hours to spend. I also wasn't clear with a lot that went on during the first season and I think that probably had something to do with CBC's edited episodes.

So, that being said, on to Season 2...finally!!!!
