Show Summary

The Tunnel is a British/French crime drama. It was adapted from the 2011 Danish/Swedish crime series The Bridge. The first season of the series follows British Detective Chief Inspector Karl Roebuck and French Capitaine Elise Wassermann as they together to find a serial killer on a moral crusade. Season two The Tunnel: Sabotage reunites newly promoted Commander Elise Wasserman, and brilliant DCI Karl Roebuck to investigate the case of a French couple abducted from the Eurotunnel, leaving behind their traumatized daughter, Chloe Fournier. The case is complicated when a plane carrying British and French passengers crashes into the Channel killing everyone on board. Season three The Tunnel: Vengeance reunites for the last time DCI Karl Roebucl and Elise Wasserman, who has demoted herself from Commander, to investigate a burning fishing boat on the Channel which leads to missing children and human traffickers.

The Tunnel season 1 began its broadcast on October 16, 2013 on Sky Atlantic in the UK, on Canal+ in France on November 11, 2013 and on PBS in the US on June 16, 2016. Season two began airing on Sky Atlantic in the UK on April 12, 2016, on Canal+ in France on March 7, 2016 and on PBS in the US on June 15, 2017. Season three began airing on Sky Atlantic in the UK on December 14, 2017, on Canal+ in France on June 4, 2018 and on PBS in the US on July 1, 2018.
