  • Reminds me of the Matrix

This episode is a really short one and you can only get a little glimpse at a society in which dreams are sold to you as the episode name implies.

I actually liked it, the idea of having apparently any dream beamed into your brain (ala Matrix) is just incredible. Think about it, you could be plugged in one of those machines forever living a perfect life, yeah it has its ups and downs but they could program a cold or a fever every now and then to make it more real.
  • Virtual reality gone wrong

One of the cool things about the New Twilight Zone that worked very well was that there were many episodes in one airing. Usually, there were at least two 20+ minute episodes per show. Sometimes, there were three episodes per show.
"Dreams for Sale" is one of those mini-episodes that aired with two longer episodes.

This particular episode wasn't bad, but average when compared to the two episodes that surrounded it in its particular airing.

This episode plays on the virtual reality vs. real reality that became common in movies like Total Recall and Minority Report. Perhaps this show could be considered relevant in that the idea of virtual reality hadn't been around too long before this aired.

Not the best episode, but not bad either.
