Jacky, a guy who steals for a living, makes the robbery of a lifetime. This is a nice episode in which we can see how people can actually change their crooked ways in life, of course with a little supernatural help from above, perhaps?

My favorite part of this episode is the closing sequence in which jacky(or John)finaly UNDERSTANDS. He started as a bad guy and ended up being "saved". This shows us even in the twilight zone people can make 180 degrees.

On the bad side, it is also true that televangelists like Jacky are in it most of the times for the money and the fame, well who cares as long as they are healing people BUT the problem is they dont have this magical healing stone, so we dont have that bonus. jacky was fake but he could heal atleast.moreless

The "healer" episode happens every now and again with sci-fi shows. It goes with the territory, I guess. This particular episode doesn't stray too far from the formula.

A thief steals a healing stone from a museum. He's shot during his escape and the stone heals him. Then, he heals a neighbor who has had a heart attack. Then, they go into business as a Christian healing show. It's when the thief becomes greedy and seeks personal gain that the "healing stone" begins to fail him.

I don't recall the twilight zone narrator ever having an attitude in his beginning monologues. This one was interesting for that reason.moreless

    • (Closing Narration) Narrator: Now he is John, no longer Jackie. Perhaps not Brother John, brother to all men, but a least fit to walk among men who care. Because caring is part of the secret, the secret we all learn. That the heart cannot heal what the eye cannot see. Not even in the Twilight Zone. Edit
    • (Opening Narration) Narrator: Ah, Jackie, Jackie. You're a small-timer, a roof-crawler, a poke pincher, a nickel-and-dime grifter with salt in your dreams and ashes in your pockets. Don't cut that wire, Jackie! Don't open that window! You won't be able to jimmy yourself out as easy as you got in. That's not the big score in there. It's the Twilight Zone. Edit
