Network Executive: Do you really think things happen by accident in this world? Haven't you ever noticed how sometimes things just...seem to go your way? Out of the blue something'll happen, and you'll think, 'Well, isn't that strange? Isn't that lucky?'. That would be us, Mr. Selig. We have a whole department in charge of happy coincidences.
(Closing Narration))
Narration: The next time you think people are talking about you behind your back or a happy coincidence seems just a little to good to be true. Check behind the bathroom mirror or see if their are any channels missing from your TV. It just might be that John Selig's ratings have dropped and you've become a star in the phosphor-dot world of the Twilight Zone.
(Opening Narration)
Narrator: Introduction to Mr. John Selig, a reasonably average man who goes through life with both eyes open and both hands firmly on the wheel Mr. John Selig practical and steady whose about to be blindsided by the Twilight Zone.
John: So you're the one who decided to do all this?
Network Executive: No. It wasn't me.
John: Then who?
Network Executive: Who decided you have to pay taxes? Who decided you have to get up for work at eight instead of ten? Who decided what money you use, what fashion you wear?
John: I don't know.
Network Executive: Same guy.
The Network Executive's speech about "Who's in charge?" echoes the same dialogue that writer J. Michael Stracyznski later used for Justin when he wrote the Babylon 5 episode Z'ha'dum.
