Episode Recap

On an unbearably hot summer day, little Doug and his aunt Neva are driving through a deserted road in the middle of nowhere en route to a lake where they expect to refresh and hide from the sun. As they are heading to their destination, an old man wearing a dirty suit is standing in the middle of the road and signals them to stop. Neva pulls over and lets the old man hitch a ride on her car. The old man starts talking about all kinds of crazy things, like monsters and genetically-bred evil, causing Doug to get a little uneasy. One story seems to be the man's favorite; it involves an evil presence that shall rise from the mud and dirt, on an extremely hot day like this, killing and devouring humans as it pleases. By now Doug is confused and scared so Neva decides that it has been enough and stops the car abruptly and throws the old man out of the car.

Hours later, they finally arrive at the lake where they swim and laugh. It gets late and they head back to town and they meet a little boy on the road, who is wearing a suit very similar to that of the old man. Neva decides to give him a ride as he is just little boy in the middle of nowhere. While they drive down the dark road, the little boy whispers something in Neva's ear that upsets her very much. Right after that the car breaks down and stops in the middle of the night. The little boy comes close to Neva and Doug and with an evil grin asks them if they believe in genetically-bred evil.
