  • Merlin comes back from deep sleep to rule the world (he is supposed to be one of the good guys)

I did not like this episode very much as I usually enjoy all the twilight zone shows. First of all the special effects are so poor and cartoonish, just look at the scene where Merlin has his magical staff magically appear in his hand, that was so 1960 special effects. Second of all the story is not well told and I couldn't feel related to any of the characters.

I am not saying it is horrible episode it just seems as if it was done with no heart and no passion although the acting from Lancelot is pretty good.

    Good watch but nothing special.moreless

    • Lance: Merlin always said you had no morals.
Morgan Le Fay: Merlin said a lot of things. Between him and Mallory, I got horrible press.

    • Morgan Le Fay: Why do you suppose you were in such a hurry to get to Cornwall?
Lance: Call it an old man's whim.
Morgan Le Fay: Yes. The old man was Merlin.

    • Tom: Where...?
      Lance: Cornwall.
Tom: Cornwall, you're daft! Strong, mind you, but daft.

    • Merlin: I have no doubt that you'll be at my side when I set my new Arthur on the throne of England.
Lance: Kings are mere ornaments in this time, Merlin. People prefer to choose their own leaders now.
Merlin: What a foolish notion. How can they understand what's best for them?

    • (Closing Narration)
Narrator: Once upon a time there was a realm of myth and magic, a high bright dream that shimmered briefly and then was gone, leaving only memories and one ageless, weary, slightly tarnished hero, who proved at last that wisdom and valor go hand in hand - on Earth, in Camelot, and in the Twilight Zone.
