The Ultimate Fighting Championship: Classic Middleweight Bouts features some of the greatest middleweight matches in the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA). Since its beginning in 1993, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has brought MMA to the United States and has become the leader in MMA events. Fighters bring an array of fighting disciplines to each bout including karate, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, wrestling and other combat sports. The series includes some of the most anticipated fights, including the 2005 match between Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson. Franklin brings his blend of freestyle fighting, kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Henderson meets him head-on with Greco-Roman wrestling and boxing. In 2007 Anderson Silva is matched with Travis Lutter. After Lutter doesn't make weight for the bout, Silva honors the match but it is changed to a three-round, non-title bout. Other fights include Jeremy Horn vs. Chael Sonnen (2006), Mike Swick vs. Yushin Okami (2007) and Thales Leites vs. Drew McFedries (2008).
