Does anyone know what the ratings were for the first 2 episodes of season 4? Or how many viewers tuned in? Just curious. Coz if they were low, there's a good chance the show could get cancelled. And I don't want that to happen!

Ratings were respectable for the premiere and episode 2 at 9 million. This pretty much represents the show's core fan base. What's missing are the 8 million viewers from last season who we picked up from NCIS. The show is not going to be canceled. We are only 2 episodes into Season 4. There are about 20 more to go.

Overnight ratings are measured two ways:

    1. Nielsen houses with meters.

    2. DVR recorded show watched by 3 am same night it was recorded. (really a stupid way to measure the ratings)

That being said, it's quite possible that there are viewers who don't know the show changed nights and time. I've been posting this info since I learned of it. But I'm sure I missed quite a few.

    SPREAD THE WORD!

On the CBS board there was an article posted predicting the show will get cancelled at the end of this season. Does anyone know if there's a chance another network could pick it up if it gets cancelled. I only ask because another show I watch, Scrubs, was recently cancelled by NBC and picked up by ABC, but I don't know if this is a common thing or if it's possible for The Unit.

That'd would be a bummer if it did get cancelled. Hopefully, their predictions are wrong.

As stated on the posts on the CBS board it is too early in the season to worry about cancellations. But if it were I doubt another network would pick it up, Scrubs and Friday Night Lights were the exceptions to the rule.
