No news from CBS yet. CBS usually announce for renewal for this show around summer. However CBS has announced for 3 new shows coming in fall 09, it makes many of our fans a bit anxious now.

yup. It's ALL because of mentalist. And I do not give a rat a$$ about that show...I hate it so much that I don't even watch that show or even will be. The Unit is the only genre of show I like on TV now.

But these shows are on different networks, so how will this help The Unit?

The Unit is usually renewed in May. For some reason, it always lands on the renewal "bubble", causing us to worry and stress if it will be renewed. If you want it renewed, then you have to tell CBS you want it back.
Every feedback form and letter I send to CBS requests renewal, a request to move it back to Tuesday at 9 PM and bring back Eric Haney as Tech Consultant. These are what made it successful in the first place. So, take action! Go to CBS.com and scroll to the bottom of the window, click on User Feedback, complete and submit the form. Roobaby

Well April's almost up and Im listening to the The Unit theme tune (from season 3) as I type. I guess its going to be squeeky-bum time until they announce something.

I really hope it comes back for another run. Its become my favourite show of the moment! Hur-rah!

But why did they kill Hector off!

The rumor going around is that it won't be renewed for another season. But that's just a rumor right now. Official word will come on Thursday when CBS does its Up Front presentation. That's where they announce their fall lineups for the advertisers. That's when we usually hear. Most networks leak their renewals ahead of time, but CBS has been amazingly tight lipped about their renewals (Fox, ABC and NBC have all leaked most of their renewals and cancelations at this point - the only bubble shows out there are pretty much all on CBS). So, word to the wise - unless you see something from a RELIABLE source, just wait until thursday afternoon (US time) for the official word.

Theres also the fact that Shawn Ryan, the executive producer, is now doing 'Lie To Me' next season. I'm not sure where that leaves The Unit. Of course when The Shield was on he was able to do both shows, so I guess we'll see.

number of shows i watch on CBS is 0

    wait, 1, The Mentalist.

at least viewers have the 100 flavors of CSI to watch though.

and their next new show? CSI: Beijing.

    Confirmed by The Futon Critic.

    http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=8115

"UNIT" OUT AT CBS, "HOUSE RULES" STAFFING
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS has pulled the plug on its Sunday drama "The Unit."

The series, along with "Cold Case" and "Without a Trace," had been pegged for cancellation as the Eye makes room for new blood in its 2009-10 season slate.

Executive producer Shawn Ryan has already been tapped as the new showrunner of FOX's "Lie to Me" while former co-executive producer Frank Military is behind "US Attorney," a pilot under consideration for midseason at CBS.

The mentalist is a great show. But so is The Unit. Don't want to see any of those two disappear.
