A Taste for Pineapple was the last first run episode of The Untouchables to air and it has its moments. We get to see a more vulnerable Eliot Ness as here he's not the all-powerful, almost superhuman crimefighter but a man suffering from blindness and a fear of the unknown. Jeremy Slate, as psychotic hired killer Elroy Dahlgren, makes a particularly nasty villain but the episode would have rated higher in my bood had Edward Binns and Tom Tully switched roles. Binns, who was brilliant in Junk Man, has his talents wasted here in the small role of a kindly doctor while Tully is simply unbelievable as a gangster. His Danny Mundt is one of the worst villains in show history.moreless
