In the only episode of Season Three to take place entirely in New York, tough guy actor Harold J. Stone plays a stubborn bakery owner who manages to hold off Joe Kulak, Lepke Buchalter, and the entire New York syndicate until Ness and the boys rush into lend a helping hand. Bull Hanlon, played by John Larch, gets my vote as the laziest mobster of the entire series. If Lepke hadn't dumped him in the bay Hanlon would have died soon afterwards from atrophy brought on by chronic laziness.moreless
