Not a bad episode but it could have been better. Fred Clark is miscast as lead villain Major Charlie Byron who is based on real-life gangster Charlie Birger notorious as the last man to be hanged in Illinois before that state implemented the electric chair as its primary method of execution. Despite this we do get good performances from gravelly voiced John Marley as Ed Carlton, Byron's most sinister henchman, and Susan Cummings as a doomed fallen angel. We also get to see a supporting Untouchable carry the load for the second and final time of Season One and almost the series. The only remaining episode in which a supporting Untouchable would get this much screen time is Season Three's Silent Partner.moreless
