Recurring Role |
For the scheme of printing one million bogus one-hundred dollar bills with the same serial number to work, they would have all had to be spent in a coordinated manner, at the same time across the country. Once one of the bills was spotted and reported as counterfeit, an alert would have gone out to all banks and the other bills would not be accepted anywhere.
When Dreiser is seen making a daring prison break, the stunt double can be seen standing up after supposedly falling from the rope that the viewer is made to believe is well short of the ground.
Ness: It's a good thing we didn't wait for Joplin to come out.
Hobson: Why?
Ness: (pulls back the cover) There he is.
Mr. Moon: Am I being accused of murder?
Ness: The thought had crossed my mind.
Mr. Moon: When one has expensive tastes one must find a way to cater to them.
Nitti: Plates by Dreiser on paper by Uncle Sam. That's pretty hard to beat.
Dreiser: Where are you going?
Monk: I'm going down to get a drink. Believe me, I've earned it.
Narrator: Mr. Moon, who had lived such an extraordinary life, died proving the truth of his own observation...that if you live long enough in Chinatown almost everything will happen to you sooner or later.
