  • Violent but unimpressive

    5.5
Pretty average episode here that features a lot of violence but only an average storyline. As in the earlier Jake Lingle Killing, Charles McGraw is once again miscast as the lead villain. Veteran character actor Henry Jones wins the acting honors in this episode as the alcoholic Demos Brittano aka Brookes Wells. We also get to see Raymond Bailey (aka Milburn Drysdale on The Beverly Hillbillies) making the first of three appearances as the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, James Carvel. Bailey would return as Carvel in Season One's The Underworld Bank and Season Two's Jack "Legs" Diamond.moreless
