Yet another powerhouse episode which followed the outstanding Season Three premiere, The Troubleshooter. Here's an episode with some depth as we meet Emmy Sarver, a lonely woman who runs a gas station in a hick town. Emmy is so lonely and desperate for love and affection that she tries to blackmail fugitive mobster Steve "Country Boy" Parish into staying with her forever. Emmy's romantic plans fail at the end leaving her to a life of loneliness. Mary Fickett as Emmy is the most memorable female character to emerge from Season Three and one of the most memorable in show history.moreless
