  • Good start but average finish.

    6.0
The first have of Testimony of Evil is very good but the second half degenerates rather quickly into a routine find the missing witness and shoot it out with the baddies episode. Jack Elam as Stanley Wilinski wins honors as the nastiest slob of the series while Fay Spain is the biggest female lush in show history. Spain sure isn't Darlin' Jill in this one.

Note: Mob witness George Davas getting tossed out of his hotel window is based upon the actual real life case of Abe "Kid Twist" Reles, a New York hitman turned informant, doing an identical swan dive out of a Coney Island hotel in the late 1930's while in police custody.moreless
